Walking Through the Valley

A friend of ours last night sent us a reminder to listen to the song by Third Day, Called Mountain of God. It truly is a song with an appropriate meaning to us at this time as we are walking through a valley of growth right now. I had to remind John last night that the Lord has given us sooooo much joy in our life as a reminder of how our life truly is, even when we're walking through a valley. The line in the song that stands out is "You are there for me." He never does leave us and He's right there holding our hands, drying our tears, and giving us His hug, as well as that little "push." We've come to learn that He has set us apart to be somewhat of "Firestarters," which we have always believed were ways to start the fire of His Spirit in our church, our family, and our friends. Well, right now the "Firestarters" got a bit burned by the fire we were trying to start. As painful as it is right now, we are able to see clearly there is a bigger picture, and growth will come from this situation. I, personally, am ready to see the growth and move on to the next little fire; however, we know He has the perfect timing for His Will to be accomplished.

Lord, you know the situation, you know our hearts' desires, you know our weaknesses. Thank you that your Hand is on the situation and good will come of this. Thank you that you think enough of us to handle the responsibilities you've placed before. Thank you for loving us!
